Whether you’re looking for heartwarming stories, thrilling mysteries, or classic autumnal settings, these 17 Must-Watch Fall Movies to Cozy Up To are perfect for cozy nights in. As the air gets cooler and the days shorter, there’s nothing better than curling up with a warm blanket and a good movie. Fall is the perfect season for indulging in cozy, feel-good films that match the mood of the season.
What movies are perfect for Fall?
If you’re looking forward to cozying up to a perfect Fall inspired film then you may fall (no pun intended) into two different categories: Cozy or Spooky. For me I absolutely only love spooky movies if they’re 80’s inspired such as Nightmare On Elm Street which is on Amazon Prime.
What are my favorite ways to create the perfect movie night?
First of all, I’m a huge movie watcher. Back in the day on IMDB.com there used to be message boards where you could start conversations and review movies. I really enjoy being able to dissect a move afterwards and understand the symbolism behind the intent of which the director is trying to achieve 🙂
Nowadays, I can watch for purely entertainment or just because a movie feels cozy. Fall is the perfect time to experience that.
To create a perfect movie moment I highly recommend the following:
- Dim Lighting (so either a fireplace or turning on one lamp)
- Candles (highly reccommend!)
- Your favorite drink! I personally love drinking tea every single night. Cinnamon tea feels fall inspired.
- A movie snack. I actually found the PERFECT movie snack. It’s popcorn and the fall trail mix you get at Target with the puppy chow 🙂
- A warm blanket like this checkered fleece one is super trendy.
