With Halloween just around the corner, it’s always fun when you get the play dress up. As for me, I was invited to a fun costume festival this year so I decided that I wanted to get a little more creative. I decided to go with a classic costume but with a fun twist: a modern day cat woman.
The Easiest (Laziest) Brunette Costume: Cat Woman!
Now you may be asking yourself, why cat woman? First, black is super slimming. Second, I think costumes with headbands are not only super cost effective but are a no brainer. Lastly, this makes the most amazing last minute costume.
My Honest Opinion on Two Types of Cat Ears for Brunettes
1. Small Medium Plush Cat Ears
First of all the reason why I purchased two is because every single year during Halloween, I always have to make sure I have a backup outfit. There’s nothing worse than being unprepared in my opinion 😂 If you are going to any kind of event, make sure you have a backup outfit even if it’s something simple.
These small medium cat ears were amazing because for someone with a naturally bigger head, they were NOT uncomfortable at all! The plush texture made these super comfy so you can basically wear this all night.
2. Bigger Fluffy Cat Ears
Now these were impactful! It again, fits bigger heads like mine. If you have big hair this will also look pretty stellar on you. The thing is, these faux fur ears are absolutely huge (even on me) so if you’re leaning towards more of a cute goofy cat look, this is it.
If you’re a brunette like I am then a black kitty headband is going to be my #1 choice. I also paired the ears with a jumpsuit and knee high boots:

The Key To A Great Lasting Costume Makeup Edition
So the key to an amazing costume, no matter where you go, in my opinion is longevity. I always wear Urban Decay’s setting spray because it locks in my makeup. No matter what type of makeup I do, I always end up doing a winged eyeliner, lashes or a red lip. If you’re out all night, you do not want your makeup to slip and slide. I highly recommend spraying your makeup with something that locks it in.
